I'll just kind of re-type the blurb a bit.... smaller.
Zach's the coolkid that only exhibits three coolkid things: How awesome he is, how awesome his adventures are, and how STOIC he is. Doesn't like to curse a whole lot but will do so for emphasis. Likes making friends, is terrible at lying and thus will stretch the truth or hide information when he has to, but will not lie to his friends. He believes being trustworthy and honest is the way of being a true cowboy.
As for his friends, he's protective as all get out for all of them. He might tell them how much they piss him off sometimes and how he's not going to be around to save their asses when they get in trouble, but he would totally still be there to do so. He couldn't just strand them out there.
He does play video games on occasion, mostly computer games (OREGON TRAILLLLLL...) and has a lazy father who used to be an awesome adventurer himself, but does jack shit lately and Zach's the one going out and killing animals three times his size to keep the livestock and crops from being eaten.
